Wilson Combat Protector

As you can tell from the blog subtitle, I support the RKBA. I've owned one pistol, a Performance Center 5906 9mm for years. This year, I decided to make a few purchases in case a Democrat won office and decided to put a stop to that. I picked up a Colt AR-15 carbine, a Remington 700 rifle, used HK Benelli M1 shotgun, SIG P250 (my wife likes this one), and my favorite - a Wilson Combat Protector model 1911 in 45 ACP. The 1911 fits my hand perfectly. I am not a great shooter, but I do shoot much better with the 1911 than with the 5906. Just feels right, and it is a thing of beauty. Looks like this one from the Wilson Combat web site, but with the ambi safety.

That's a beautiful piece.

I need to shoot a 1911 one of these days. I've never even held one.

How do you guys like the P250? Any issues with it? I've been considering picking up a polymer 9mm but am leaning towards a SigPro 2022 instead of the 250

My wife is very happy with the P250. We had a friend put in the short trigger and now it fits her hand very well. We were looking at the M&P 9mm and the SIG P250. The trigger on the P250 is much nicer. Not sure how big your hand is. I think the real key is that the gun needs to fit your hand, both palm size and trigger finger length. The P250 wouldn't work for me at all, but works great for her. If you haven't tried a 1911, you should give it a whirl. Its a classic. If I didn't like the 1911 so much, the Beretta 92 would be a pretty good choice as well.
